Congratulations to Professor Andrew Rowland, a member of MT’s Board of Directors. Dr. Andrew has been awarded an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in His Majesty The King’s Birthday Honours for services to Safeguarding and the Protection of Children’s Rights.

Taking care of the environment is everyone's responsibility. This morning, a group of students we work with helped clean up the streets near our Education Center.

Did you know we have a small shop inside our vocational training restaurant, Sandan? It’s filled with handmade items—shirts, trinkets, and gifts—created by mothers in our Home-Based Production Program.

After a very, very rainy weekend here in Sihanoukville, there is a lot of clean-up to do, and everyone is pitching in to help.

The Sihanoukville Girls U18 football tournament concluded yesterday. The M’Lop Tapang girls' team didn’t win the tournament, but they did receive the Fair Play Award for showing the best sportsmanship. So proud of them all! Well done, girls!

This time of year is challenging, especially for beach sellers. Rainy season in Sihanoukville is intense—more than 4,000mm of rain falls between May and October. For people trying to make a living on the beach, it’s a tough season to get through.

It’s rainy season here, but our ChildSafe Agents are still out there doing their work. So far this year, we’ve given out 96 umbrellas and 53 raincoats to help them stay dry.

This morning, our staff met with some of M’Lop Tapang’s students to encourage them ahead of their big 12th grade exam coming up later in August. It’s no small feat to make it to 12th grade—let alone to pass the final exam. Good luck to all 24 students!

Sometimes we see young children being rough with animals—not out of cruelty, but because no one has shown them another way. Children learn by watching. When adults model kindness, it helps shape more compassionate kids—and, hopefully, more peaceful communities.
