There has been a lot of focus on the District’s budget due to an effort in Congress to force the District to cut 1 billion dollars in spending 6 months into the fiscal year. Budgets can be complicated, so to combat confusion I’d like to introduce “The District Budget, 101 pt 1”.

Thank you Senator Angela Alsobrooks for filing an amendment to the continuing resolution to restore DC’s ability to keep spending under FY 2025 budget levels. We’re grateful for your solidarity. This would avert DC government layoffs and $1 billion in DC budget cuts. (Amendment below)
