We have all looked at yield data compared to an elevation map. When looked at via 3D elevation, the slope/yield interactions are much easier to see. I exaggerated the topo here to make it easier to visualize.

Double checking seeding depth is one of those forgotten, easy, verifications that can make a world of difference; in any system.

Maybe hard to see, but there is a rectangle in this alfalfa field where the stand goes from knee high to barely ankle high. It squares off with the headland and the edges are straight. What gives?

Which field received the biggest benefit of the 3" rain? Water infiltration is key for water being available during the hot, dry months. 1" of rain = 27,000 gallons of water. Almost 1gal per #corn plant! Also, compaction slows infiltration waaaay down. ⁦U of MN ExtensionLyn Abbott

If you are wanting to see planting green in action, this field day tomorrow is for you. No rain come overnight so the planter will be able to run.
