BREAKING: Detectives this afternoon charged Jordan A. Smith, 24, with criminal homicide for the fatal shooting of his acquaintance, Dana Corley, 26, last Tue near 16th Ave S & Wedgewood . The shooting occurred minutes after they saw each other at the Circle K mkt on Belmont Blvd.

Latrell Knott, 22, is charged with att murder for Wed's shooting of a 17-yr-old in the 500 block of S. 5th St. When Knott was arrested, he had a Glock pistol equipped with a switch to make it fully auto. Knott was on probation for 2024 auto theft, gun & felony evading convictions

Quick police response to the sounds of gunfire in the area of CWA Apartments on S. 5th Street early today led to the arrest of three teenagers, one adult, and the seizure of six guns, three of them stolen. Specialized Investigations Division detectives leading this work.

BREAKING: Authorities in Hampstead, NC this afternoon arrested Nashville murder suspect Angel A. Sandoval, 18. He is accused in the 11/30/24 fatal shooting of Mohamed Keita in William Pitts Park. Robbery was the motive. Sandoval was 17 at the time & is charged in Juv Court.
