NEWS: This morning our members unanimously ratified a new two-year contract, our first since 2019. It comes after more than two years of negotiations with NewsGuild of New York and a 19-day strike in April, the first in our history. ✊✊✊

Among the highlights: - 15% avg raise over 2 years, with several members getting >$10K raises, plus $1K signing bonuses for all - important protections against unfair discipline, transfer, & layoffs - an agreement that AI will not replace local journalists

On June 17, anniversary of Susan B. Anthony's 1873 trial, a ceremony at the Ontario County Courthouse dedicated a bust of John Van Voorhis, one of SBA's defense attorneys. His family donated the bust & it now permanently resides next to a bust of SBA in a courtroom vestibule.
