It's Drowning Prevention Week. Royal Life Saving have produced some sobering figures you can see below. In weather like we are due this weekend, there will be 3x more drownings than on a normal sunny day. Please enjoy the sun, but be respectful of the water.

The Marine Policing Unit were pleased to attend the Fleet Management Community Day yesterday at The Warren. It was a fantastic turnout, and the officers enjoyed chatting with members of the public and being given the opportunity to explain the fleet we have available at Wapping.

The Marine Policing Unit were pleased to attend this year’s Shomrim Emergency Services Open Day. Once again, there was an amazing turnout from the local community, who enjoyed trying on our kit and learning about what the unit does on a day to day basis.

PD Milo and PD Shelby joined the crew of Marine 2 during Op Cumulus, providing valuable support whilst out on patrol. Their involvement included boarding Clipper vessels and helping ensure the safety of those travelling along the River Thames. Great team work!
