3/ Read our recent report with @FifeMigrants & Caroline Robinson which highlights the risks of #HumanTrafficking for forced labour on the #SWP & outlines recommendations to the Scottish & UK govt ⬇️ bit.ly/3tnOVur

Fantastic to hear the announcement of a new independent helpline for seasonal agricultural workers in Scotland by RSABI - supporting people in Scottish agriculture and our partners @FifeMigrants, supported by Scottish Government. It's one of the key recommendations of our report 👉 bit.ly/3nOXDkc bit.ly/3nQzael

'Who picks your fruit? And more importantly who represents them in policy spaces', my blog for @migrationpolicyscotland about how seasonal migrant agricultural workers are represented and claim power around the world, with some thoughts for #Scotland migrationpolicyscotland.org.uk/publications/p…

Lucila Granada FLEX raised this issues some weeks ago in a letter to the Home Secretary and Minister together with Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants Rights of Women ILPA Trades Union Congress Migrant Voice 🧡 labourexploitation.org/publications/l… The UK needs to act proactively to mitigate risks to Ukrainian workers on the SWV

Great questions from Maggie Chapman MSP on the need for representation of seasonal agricultural workers in Scotland. Nice to hear the Worker Support Centre being championed too, but more work is vital to meet the SG's commitments to achieving effective worker voice in this sector.

Really important and fascinating report from Work Rights Centre out today reviewing the systemic drivers of migrant worker exploitation both as a result of ever increasing numbers of sponsored visas and the desperate underfunding of labour market enforcement. workrightscentre.org/media/1366/fin…
