This fortnight the IMOS Animal Tracking team taught the Animal Tracking component of the ‘Topics in Australian Marine Science’ Masters course from @MQBiology University of Sydney UTS Science UNSW Science at @SydneyMarine, including a hands-on session deploying instruments in Sydney Harbour!

A pleasure to represent Living Seawalls and @MQBiology in the panel discussion today

Nice article about our recent #mantaray research here The Fish Lab MQ Marine Megafauna Foundation @MQBiology biomeecology.com/conservation/2…

Taking positive action – our environmental #stewardship symposium at #AMSA21 showcases how scientists are working to conserve #threatenedspecies, protect marine #ecosystems, engage with #citizenscience and reconnect people with our environment. Dr John Turnbull

Spotted in the field 👀Bumped into Dr John Turnbull who captured this #drone shot of me collecting Living Seawalls RUVs from our reference rocky reef site at Fairlight yesterday. So cool! Thanks, for capturing it 😊 flic.kr/p/2kT2J8i

I am so proud of my #oysterbrother Paco Martínez for his AMAZING #ICSR2021 presentation on #seascape #connectivity between #oysterreefs, #mangroves, #seagrassmeadows & #baresediments! 💪Looking forward to reading your full PhD thesis, Dr. Paco!! 🦪🤙Melanie Bishop MQ Marine

Completed Living Seawalls at Ross Creek in #Townsville! Thank you to our partners @CoralCoE James Cook Uni & Experimental Marine Ecology Laboratory in Singapore, with support from Port of Townsville & Department of Industry, Science and Resources. 👍 to Maria Vozzo Eva McClure Dr Janine Ledet Andrew Hoey! @SydneyMarine MQ Marine UNSW CMSI

Congratulations Steph Bagala on the submission of your MRes thesis on fish utilisation of Living Seawalls. Maria Vozzo and I are super proud of your achievements!

We deployed a number of goatfish spycams in Jervis Bay. Finding these special visitors on our footage was a highlight and an awesome fieldwork moment #AMSA21contest #AMSA21 AMSA-NSMSS 2024 Conference #RUV

Best field moment when a green turtle said hi to my #RUVs looking at #habitat provision by oyster #aquaculture in beautiful Port Stephens. I literally screamed when I saw it! AMSA-NSMSS 2024 Conference #AMSA21contest

My #FieldworkWin happened when Tristan Guillemin helped find a massive flatworm, the photo doesn't do it justice, but this is huge for a flatworm! #AMSA21 AMSA-NSMSS 2024 Conference

Cool to see our biodegradable #oysterreef #restoration units being utilising by juvenile luderick two days after they were deployed, and using the structure to actively hide from a passing cormorant on the lookout for a tasty snack! Melanie Bishop

Thank you The Living Room for featuring Living Seawalls !! Re-watch 2021 Ep. 9 to see how we can #upcycle the health of the harbour by combining marine ecology & industrial design. 10play.com.au/the-living-roo…

Big congratulations!!! Dr Joni Pini-Fitzsimmons
