The staff of MSU Entomology is the best there is. It was an honor to nominate Heather Lenartson-Kluge for the MSU Jack Breslin Distinguished Staff Award and such a joy to see her receive her recognition today!

A paper by Doug Landis and former post-doc Nate Haan shows the use of fake caterpillars to assess predation potential in perennial bioenergy crops. There's more going on than you think! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/gc…

If your beautiful lilies are eaten by beautiful red beetles and their less than beautiful larvae you are not alone. The lily leaf beetle is a recent invader to Michigan. We are starting a biocontrol program MSU Entomology by moving successful parasitoids from New England to MI.
