Great to spend the past few weeks in London with the Output team at ITV News. Covering a General Election for a national broadcaster is something I've always wanted to do so very pleased.

Deeply saddened to learn of the death of Ken Reid. He was an outstanding journalist and always at the top of his craft. I learnt so much from him. Earlier this year, he and the late Stephen Grimason, were honoured by Queen’s University - two giants of journalism.

When I joined UTV, Ken instantly made me feel welcome, sitting down with me for a chat when I was just in the door. Such a generous, selfless person always wanting to help. He was a pleasure to work with. So fascinating to talk to. You could pick his brain for hours. Very sad day
