Congrats to Drew Lueddecke! Drew committed to Eureka College where he plans to play baseball and study Business Management.

Birds lose the season opener behind a 1 hit outing from Sauder. Offense was led by Jones and Smith with 2 hits. Lueddecke go yard in the loss.

Tough loss in the home opener. Birds jump out to an early lead and then claw their way back before falling to the visiting Ottawa Pirates 8-9. Smith led the offense with 3 H & 4 RBI. Young, Petri and Jones each had 2 H. Adams was electric going 4IN, 0BB, 7K

Birds get the win! Petri was the player of the game throwing a complete game shutout, 7IN, 1H, 10K’s, 1BB. Lueddecke led the game off with a solo home run and that was all Petri needed. Back at it Monday!
