The 1st session of #ORCHEM22 continued with another astonishing talk by Morandi Lab. It was superb to see the nice chemistry that has been developed in the last years, leading to some (positive) flashback s to my Master Thesis in Bill's group at ETH Zürich in 2019!

I can't seem to escape ferrocene...In a great collaboration with Maximilian Fellert, Alexander, Yohan and Lotte in the Feringa Lab we demonstrated the utility of a ferrocene dimer as redox-responsive dopant for liquid crystals. Now published in Angewandte Chemie! This great collaboration with Robert Hein, Alexander and Lotte in the Feringa Lab marks another step towards redox-switchable functional materials. Very happy to have worked with Robert first as members of Förderverein Chemie-Olympiade e.V. and now shared first authors!
