Congratulations to electorate neighbour Sussan Ley on becoming the first woman Liberal Party Leader. More regional voices in power in Canberra has to be a good thing for rural Australia! Well done also to Member for Fairfax Ted O’Brien, who will do a great job as Deputy Leader.

Addressed more than 100 people at Crookwell last night, alongside experts and locals, to discuss the likelihood of even more wind towers in the area. It is clear there are major concerns. It is time renewable proponents and governments begin listening to local communities.

Although I am low risk and under 65, I still had my flu jab because I know it’s good for my health. With Dr Ayman Shenouda of Glenrock Country Practice. Low vaccination rates as the Winter flu season approaches are causing some concern for doctors. Better to be safe than sneezy!

Famed boxer and beloved pie maker Johnny ‘Pop’ Gorkom was lovingly farewelled today. Many Wagga Wagga people will remember him as the owner/pastry chef at Pop’s Bakery in the Lake Village Shopping Centre. May he rest in peace. Read full tribute: facebook.com/share/1MEkYQRv

Two of the most outstanding entries into my ANZAC Day writing competition came from the wonderful schools of St Brendan’s Primary School, Ganmain and Matong Public School. It was a privilege to visit and deliver students Grace Kelly and Noah Burns book prizes for their works.

Muttama – a tiny #Riverina village with a huge heart – welcomed back hundreds of former residents this weekend to mark 100 years of its little wooden hall. The building honours the district’s World War I soldiers and has stood the test of time, hosting many important events.

The 103rd Annual General Meeting of the @CWAofNSW was opened today in Wagga Wagga. A great privilege to be bestowed on to Wagga Wagga, which has also brought about 1,000 people to our city, boosting our local economy. Great to see the CWA continue to advocate for regional women.

It has been 80 years since an explosion in a training bunker took the lives of 26 of Australia’s best & bravest – the worst training accident in the nation’s military history. The disaster has been marked with a solemn ceremony attended by relatives of the victims from across 🇩đŸ‡ș.

In light of the tragic floods on the Mid North Coast and Hunter region, it is a pertinent time to recognise our NSW SES volunteers this National Volunteer Week. An honour to thank local volunteers, alongside Wes Fang, who give up their time to help others. Thank you! #NVW2025

Another wind factory proposal and another community standing up for itself in response. Proud to attend and speak against Labor’s reckless renewable push at Bowning & District Progress Association’s Community Information Session for the proposed Bendenine Wind Turbine Project.
