🤝 The Green Heart of #Africa team met with Martijn ter Heegde, Head of Programme GIZ for #DRCongo, to explore collaborations btw. the initiative and BGF/GIZ . Productive ideas for joint activities were sparked also in the context of 2025 #DRCongo-#Germany consultations.

Yesterday, the Green Heart of #Africa team met with German Ambassador Ingo Herbert and embassy member Astrid Meyer to discuss the project and the embassy’s role in related issues. They addressed potential challenges and solutions-a productive exchange btw. science and diplomacy.

The motto of the Green Heart of Africa team for all fruitful consultations this week. The team now heads to the headquarters of Lomami National Park & @FZS_Frankfurt in #Kindu. After a kick-off workshop, they’ll begin fieldwork in the park. An adventurous journey by 🚤🏍️🏃awaits!
