Check out Miguel's latest paper below in Chemical Science for a crash course on Pt supramolecular chemistry! Congratulations to Miguel🎉

Thanks for the announcement, Nanoscale journal family! Our postdoc, Yitao Xu, has just published another excellent chapter in his saga of graphene oxide photonic liquids - this time, featuring magnetic control! You can check it out in the quoted post below 👇

Congratulations to Dr. Kyoungil Cho (Kyoungil Cho), a previous postdoc in our group, on the 2nd paper from his time with us! Published in Crystal Growth & Design / ACS, this paper examines the growth of a variety of MOFs on cellulose nanocrystal surfaces. Read it here: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Jeanette Loos is back with her final paper from the group, just published in Supramolecular Chemistry! In this work, she shows how to create extremely moldable and mechanically stable bicomponent gels with low molecular weight gelators. Read it here: tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.108…

Looking for a paper with a twist? Check out Madhureeta's latest paper on self-assembled bimetallic nanofibers, just published in ACS_ANM! ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.102…

Check out this week's #ChemSciPicks from Mark MacLachlan et al. MacLachlan Group UBC Science UBC Chemistry! "p-Extended Ligands with Dual-Binding Behavior: Hindered Rotation Unlocks Unexpected Reactivity in Cyclometalated Pt Complexes" Read here for free: pubs.rsc.org/doi/D4SC04799K

Congratulations to Raksha on her paper in Angewandte Chemie! She explores post-synthetic modification of rotaxanes through metallation of the host macrocycle with Pt, comparing the dynamics of the resulting Pt(II), Pt(III), and Pt(IV) complexes. Read it here: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…
