Great collaboration with Andreas Houben Yi-Tzu Kuo and Macas lab now published online in Nature Communications. Here we show that holocentromeres can also consist of only a few centromeric units with megabase-sized repeat arrays in similar ranges as in monocentromeres! Crazy!
