Bringing biomechanics to outback, NSW with a BRInC program x National Biomechanics Day collab! Both programs aim to ⬆️ students participation in biomechanics, specifically targeting groups such as, women & those from remote areas who are ⬇️ likely to engage in STEM. What a great trip!

Big congratulations to Patrick Rowe! Pat was awarded Best Paper at the International Ankle Symposium in Strasbourg 🤩 His paper (link 👇): “Do external ankle supports influence ankle biomechanics for individuals with chronic ankle instability during sports-related tasks?"


Last week CHESM hosted an EMCR Research Showcase with members of La Trobe SEMRC, CHESM and a keynote presentation by Prof Stefan Lohmander from Lund University 🤩 Interesting and engaging presentations, and a chance to catch up with colleagues at the pub afterwards!


We held a Women in Biomechanics edit-a-thon in conjunction with a BRInC program x International Women in Biomechanics meet up at ABC-ANZORS 2024 ANZSB 6 new pages are published (more to come). Thanks to the stars who attended and Wikimedia Australia for their support!
