The Islamic Republic is responsible for the death, destruction, & misery of Iranians. It has occupied our beautiful country since 1979, & not only forcing its barbaric ideology & terror on Iranians but abroad as well. Remember this when regime apologists start their propaganda.

I stay away from politics on here for the most part but many of my friends and relatives in Iran are hopeful that this is the beginning of the end for the Islamic Republic. I hope so too. There are only tears to be shed for a great people, not for an evil regime.

One of the odder things about the discourse around Iranian politics is that being part of the diaspora invalidates one's views. That is, of course, unless one has a degree in some branch of postcolonial studies, now mostly discredited. Then one's opinions are apparently amazing.
