Thanks Paul Röttger for this great ACL 2024 paper list. I will be presenting our paper on Tuesday 12:15PM. Come by our poster on LLM evaluation!

🥳Our paper led by Leon Weber-Genzel and Siyao Logan Peng has won the Area Chair Award! Congrats!!#ACL2024NLP

MaiNLP (MaiNLPlab) is growing! Excited to welcome our new team members postdoc Silvia Silvia Casola, postdoc Janet Janet Liu and PhD student Ryan Shim + Michael A. Hedderich's MaiNLP team is growing with PhD student Florian joining us this month! 🌄🚴🤠🥳 CIS, LMU Munich Munich Center for Machine Learning

Excited to welcome our new MaiNLPlab team members PhD students Andreas Säuberli (Andreas Säuberli) and Felicia Körner (Feliçe). Welcome to Munich and CIS, LMU Munich at Universität München 🌄🏄🏃🚵🥳

Our lab members Philipp Mondorf and Xinpeng Wang with Barbara Plank at the first ever Conference on Language Modeling!

🚨New paper!🚨 The problem of false refusal has drawn increasing attention since XSTest was released by Paul Röttger (our co-author). Is there a simple and cheap way to mitigate that? Yes! We propose to mitigate it via single vector ablation. arxiv.org/abs/2410.03415

Thank you, Raffaella Bernardi! It was a pleasure having you with us!

Fully funded PhD positions available from our PIs Munich Center for Machine Learning.⬇️

🌴off to Miami for #EMNLP2024 next week 🌴 1st conference {of the year | with @MaiNLP | as a postdoc}: > 2 papers to present, SPF 50 on standby > with my new labmates (who are doing cool work🤩) > reunite with Georgetown University Computational Linguistics folks 🙌 > come say hi and time to catch up 🕺🏻 see 🧵
