A Sunday morning thought about frontline policing.

Today in academia, from the pages of a flagship journal: If your qualitative sample doesn't hold your abolitionist beliefs, it is up to you, the academic expert, to determine the best solution for them.

Drawing conclusions about police abolition by literally saying your study does not provide the data to support it, but the participants may have lacked vision and the authors' expertise justifies the conclusion, is a reason why many people don't take criminology seriously, sadly.

Great presentation this morning at LeadershipSC by Major TJ Geary. We learned of ways to respond in a crisis and certainly have a lot to think about. This was my favorite quote of the morning.
