I've seen the new set books of the CBC from National Curriculum Development Centre & I'm wondering, why are the Kenyans reigning? I'm aware of Clive Lewis having teaching experience in Uganda but really? Why do we have Imbuga twice? Are we entrenching the idea that Uganda is a literary desert? Argh!

From the moment we read your 'Minutes of Glory' and the famous 'A Mercedes Funeral' to the more complex 'Wizard of the Crow' and 'Devil on the Cross', your stories Ngugi wa Thiong'o meant much to us. You leave us with lots to ponder, laugh about, research, & critique. Rest well!

A hearty Congratulations Prof Dipio for these two awards: Best Animation and Lifetime Achievement Award. You've elevated Makerere University CHUSS, Makerere University and the academy and how our work is never done till we impact the community with our scholarship. Keep soaring

In the 2017/2018 academic year, we welcomed Exevia Kule to Makerere University CHUSS, especially the Department. He was a man of great expectations & was commited to his work and bagged a good degree with Makerere University CEES. In four years, he's gone We will miss the teacher & inspiration he was!

Dr. Isaac Tibasiima | 2025 CHUSS Graduate Symposium ✅ What Makes a Paper Publishable? Truth in academic writing is not absolute—it's subjective but must be backed by strong evidence. A publishable paper brings new data, fresh concepts, or innovative methods.

Exciting week of global collaboration! I joined Profs. Nokhanyo Mdzanga & Harry Kuchah Kuchah, & Dr. Joyce Anku to engage Ghanaian, Ugandan, & South African education leaders for our project on English medium transitions. Also inspired students on gender-inclusive teaching!
