Phew, what a weekend! We're very thankful we got to celebrate with a real-life event before a live audience this year. Kia ora rawa atu to Rachael King and WORD Christchurch for their amazing work in such a tough year, and their ongoing support since we launched in 2010. #yeahnoir

Love listening to these three bookish passionate women riff on books. Love Jenna’s review of Victory Park in this line-up — what she said about the nuanced writing on poverty & solo mums & her delight in reading a Newtown novel #ockhamnzbookawards #literarypodcast #victorypark

A fresh cover and a smaller size for Auē. We love this beautiful evening-moon green taken from the moon at the tūī’s throat. The Tūī Taonga are by Penny Howard. Such taonga, exquisite. Penny has an exhibition on called Te Whakahoki, at Whitespace, Grey Lynn. Worth a visit. #aue

Exciting bunch of first book winners. Proud of Rachel Kerr. That’s a hatrick for us with the Best First Book Award for Fiction – Becky Manawatu winning it last year and Kirsten Warner it the year before that.

Auē makes it onto Shortland Street We are stoked to see NZ fiction on the screen! Only thing is Tillie is too young for it (the character born 2011 seems to be 13/14 onscreen). We recommend Auē for adults, and young adults 16+ Hoping TK or Cece will wrestle it off her ...

Speedy delivery all things considered to a wee cottage in a wee village in the middle of Scotland. Paul had to find it on a map to make sure it existed. Glad it’s arrived Kayden Iona

A perfect pairing of science and literature in Bryan Walpert’s novel Entanglement. Thanks to Cushla McKinney for her review in the ODT that opens up this complex and erudite novel for readers and invites them in. At all good bookstores now.
