The number of Temminck’s Stints at Cley NWT has been slowly building over the past week, with ten or more present yesterday and today. This one came a little closer than the others, presenting a rare opportunity not to be missed.

Spent a great morning on Hornoya island, Norway getting incredible views of the nesting seabirds, Brunnich’s Guillemots being the star birds. We then got a message to say this Ross’s Gull had been found in the harbour at Vardo, right opposite our hotel. What a stunnerπŸ”₯

One of our hardest Umbellifers to photo, given their liking for dark shaded areas of Calcareous Ancient Woodland, are the Beautiful starry flowers of Sanicle, Sanicula europaea. Thankfully conditions were just right here at Cloud Wood! BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland wildflowerhour #wildflowerhour
