Similiar to how virtualization enabled elasticity of compute in Cloud, which led to huge adoption of Cloud, I have felt that Matryoshka architectures, devised by Prateek Jain, Aditya Kusupati & team are enabling elasticity of FM capability. People will recognize it over time.
