There were broad-based changes in #htn practice patterns contributing to a decline in BP control among adults with #CKD between 2011 and 2015 (i.e. before JNC8 was released), including fewer prescriptions of first-line therapies. #KidneyinCVD

Criteria to individualize glycemic targets in patients with type II diabetes are lacking. This study found heterogenous treatment effects of intensive glycemic control on microvascular outcomes in ACCORD as a function of predicted risk of kidney failure bit.ly/JASN0272

SPRINT showed that intensive lowering of systolic BP increased the risk of incident CKD and episodes of AKI. A study looked at legacy effect of intensive vs. standard systolic BP lowering on longer-term incidence of kidney failure. Rates of dialysis or transplantation were higher

There's the world, and then there's Stanford. If Stanford were its own country, it'd be tied for 11th in event medals at #Paris2024. #GoStanford
