After the UK ceremony yesterday, Canadian 🇨🇦 Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Brookwood Cemetery today - home to the war graves of over 2700 Canadians. Happy that ⁦Kevin Rex 🍁⁩ and Amy Muldoon could join ⁦Ralph Goodale⁩ and I. ⁦CanadianUK⁩

On this Nov. 11th at Brookwood Military Cemetery, the final resting place for more than 2,500 Canadians, our Canada House Team in the UK observed Remembrance Day - to honour the service and sacrifice of all those we have lost in war, ensuring they are both thanked and remembered:

A special privilege to commemorate this #RemembranceDay2024 at Brookwood Military Cemetery, just outside London 🇬🇧, the final resting place of over 2,700 Canadians. My thanks to High Commissioner Ralph Goodale, Deputy Robert_Fry 🇨🇦 and the Canadian Armed Forces team CanadianUK.

Instead of the usual Cenotaph ceremony, my brother Carl and I visited the graves of our grandfather David Bird (in pic), our dad’s, and our uncle’s graves (all veterans) on Peepeekisis and placed our poppies and smudged. They would have approved.
