Excited this morn to finally get a photograph of the calling Cuckoo. It was very distant but for once out in the open. Unlike the Cuckoo the Sedge Warblers pose perfectly for photos! Also Reed Warblers, Yellowhammers, Lapwings, Ravens & Sparrowhawk being dive bombed by Swallows!

I can now officially introduce Chips and Gravy's fledglings Sausage and Mash! They both came down today for food. When I called Chips and Gravy all 4 came, with one of the juveniles doing acrobatics again! It makes me really emotional, I feel so very very blessed.

Breaking news, excitingly, we have 3 Raven Fledglings so we are going to need another name! The Photos are of Gravy with the 3 fledglings, Chips was with me eating suet!! Also, interestingly the picture of the birds beak to beak is 2 of the juveniles not of the adult feeding.

Still quiet for birds around Marbury & I didn't see any of my Ravens this morning. I hate it when I don't see them but I am sure they are fine and have just found some nice carrion! The highlight today was 2 Red Kites. Also Linnets, Yellowhammers, Lapwings, Sedge & Reed Warblers

Had a very exciting Moth to the traps this morning, a Lobster Moth. It was only the 4th record for Cheshire. It was a shock to see it! #teammoth

We are really lucky in Marbury to have lots of Mistle Thrushes all over patch. I have never had one quite as posy as this one sat on a bench in the Churchyard though. Just look how stunning it is close up!

I have yet another new camera. My Nikon p950 broke and I was given my money back so I upgraded to a Nikon P1100 ๐Ÿ˜…These are the first photos from it. All the birds were distant other than the Robin. I am very pleased with it. Just need to practice and read the instruction book!๐Ÿ˜‰
