Yesterday @iwill_ella, Leia Mckenzie MSYP and I attended the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s consultation event to discuss the future of Balmossie fire station. We raised the concerns of young people from Angus and Dundee about the impact on our communities if the station was closed.

Keir Mather becomes the youngest Government Minister in almost 200 years. Young people bring fresh ideas, new energy and different experiences to these roles. That’s vital for good governance. Hopefully we won’t have to wait as long for the next young Minister to be appointed.

I am concerned about the proposed funding cuts at Dundee & Angus College. For too long there has been insufficient funding for higher education in Scotland - and now staff and students are paying the price. The Scottish Government must act.

This article is an awful (but unfortunately not surprising) example of how period products are not provided to young people with the dignity they deserve. Women are often the ones subjected to rulings such as this one, with men often being the ones subjecting them to such (1/4)

Today, Jack Anderson MSYP, Ella MSYP and Leia Mckenzie MSYP and I have written to the Minister for Further and Higher Education about funding for colleges and universities. Cuts at D&A College have been worrying for young people. The Scottish Government must invest to protect students.
