Parikrma Foundation Dr Shukla Bose Today we visited Azim Premji University in Sarjapur, Bangalore. Thanks Gautham Dayal for the invitation! We left with the will to look for ways to collaborate in the future.
On Sunday, we had a great morning at MAPBangalore. We had an open workshop for adults: Shadows of Her Story - Illuminating Women Through Art & Tech. Participants imagined stories related to the exhibition 'VISIBLE/INVISIBLE' and created tangible & digital puppets. OctoStudio
Today we visited Parikrma Foundation Oxygen, India’s first outdoor and nature school for children from underserved families. A very impressive project that fosters climate change preparedness and community development.
What a fantastic day at Shanti Bhavan with Eduard Muntaner Perich and Maria Berrocal ! Left feeling very very inspired. Also amazing to run into a Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) classmate running key aspects of the school!
Today we visited the new Paper Crane Lab office and held a workshop for children and their families. We explored the world of Kalamkari block printing, first drawing designs on paper and then putting them into Scratch Team to stamp them digitally. pic.x.com/GPSIQwVQPe
With Maria Berrocal, we visited The Valley School, a Krishnamurti school in Bangalore. We conducted a couple of creative computing workshops with Scratch Team, using kolams and kalamkari as culturally relevant elements.

Last Friday, I presented with Maria Berrocal at the "IX Congreso Universidad y Cooperación al Desarrollo" in Alcalá. We shared how Creative Computing, using Scratch Team & OctoStudio, can integrate South Indian cultural elements (kolams, kalamkari, etc.) to enrich learning.
