Day 2 of our key findings Maria Doherty (Faulkner) #womeninsport #WomenInSports #womeninsportire

Maria Doherty (Faulkner) 3. Many women experienced a sense of being in a new body (physical fitness and PF function) which they needed to get to know and had felt unprepared for. This impacted their return. There was also a shift in perspective, incl. improved balance, gratitude, and time efficiency PP.

Maria Doherty (Faulkner) 4. The mental load of a return often felt heavy, and women felt pulled in multiple directions by their competing priorities. Women spoke of guilt at the time they spent on their sport, and some felt judged by friends, family and HCP in their return PP.

Delighted to share my recent chat with michelle lyons about our recent publication Maria Doherty (Faulkner) It was a brilliant conversation and I’m excited for what’s to come 🎧
