Introducing Marina for #ECRVoices Marina Tonetti Botana is working on #MarineMetabolomics and she is based in Wellington, New Zealand 🇳🇿. Marina is one of the EMN Travel Grant winners and she will present her work on coral-algae symbiosis at 10:45 AM

Two brazilians have been awarded the EMN Metabolomics Society Travel Award and will be presenting their work at the #metsoc2024. Congrats Alex Castro and Marina Tonetti Botana !

Next up is Marina Tonetti Botana talking about octadecanoid signalling in coral-algal symbiosis here at #metsoc2024

Great talk by Marina Tonetti Botana on the role of #oxylipins in coral-algal symbiont interactions. Oxylipins from highly unsaturated C18 n3 fatty acids offer A New HOPE for understanding thermal stress-associated bleaching in corals. #MetSoc2024 Thanx to Cayman Chemical!

Thank you Craig Wheelock Davy Lab EMN Metabolomics Society Cayman Chemical for making this happen!! So stoked with this conference!

Join us on EMN Metabolomics Society of Metabolomics Society as a committee member!! Applications are now open! We especially encourage scientists from Africa, Middle East, Australia, Asia and South America to apply! Please#RT

may not look like much - but this is a box of corals collected in Brazil & Australia. Struggled w/ FedEx for 2 weeks, but finally arrived. Excited to probe role of unsaturated omega 3 fatty acids in coral/symbiont interactions & effects of thermal stress w/ Marina Tonetti Botana

Thank you Craig Wheelock and #DreamTeam for supporting my research characterizing novel oxylipins in coral reef symbiosis! Thank you for the field work and travel funds Moore Foundation International Symbiosis Society Aust Coral Reef Soc Projeto Coral Vivo

Marina Tonetti Botana was this year's recipient of the David Day award, managed by CBRE. Her work seeks to determine the role of lipids symbiont responses to coral bleaching. Check out some images of her work on Heron Island (Great Barrier Reef) during the mass bleaching event this year
