Many MAP sites including our programs Dr. NH Jones , Wyomina Park Elem., and Madison Street Academy of Visual & Performing Arts learned new things about the Chinese culture as well as some facts about the Great Wall of China while making these models, masks, and drums.

The students at MAP Emerald Shores showed their creativity this week with a marble wall maze and life-size portrait. With a little help from a friend to trace them onto paper, the kids got to express how they view themselves with a life-sized representation.

Students in MAP at East Marion Elementary were challenged to build a bridge using select building items. The bridge had to be strong enough to hold all three Billy Goats Gruff and tall enough, so they would be out-of-reach of the Troll!

MAP Greenway Elementary are creating their own fashion statement with upcycled paper towel tube bracelets. They take a paper towel tube, cut it in half and cut along the spiraled line. Once decorated, they are ready to show their style!

MAP Maplewood Elementary ESE program learned how different items react to each other through making lava lamps. Combining water, food coloring, oil and an Alka Seltzer tablet to a bottle creates a reaction that leads to colorful bubbles thus mimicking a lava lamp.

Coco, the mischievous elf, will be ‘vacationing’ at MAP Wyomina Park Elem. until it’s time to return to the North Pole. On Thurs she disguised herself as a snowman and on Fri she taught the students how to make snow angels with no snow! 🤯Who knew this could be done in Florida?! 😆

Coco has been enjoying her vacation at MAP Wyomina Park Elem.. Last week she worked on her art. Vacationing can be hard, so Coco took a nap. To ensure she doesn’t get sick and is ready to help with Santa’s Christmas Eve deliveries, she is drinking vitamin C right from the source.
