Job done, myrmidone! Absolutely dreamy views today for our Romania in Spring butterfly group of fabulous and achingly rare Danube Clouded Yellow (Colias myrmidone). Wonderful to see, and wonderful to see the joy they brought to all.

Today's #FrohawkFriday, the day we celebrate the butterfly studies & artwork of FW Frohawk. This week features the Comma, a species that's a master of camouflage. Adults look like a tatty bit of bark when their wings are closed; and their caterpillars look like bird poo!

We're homeward-bound from Romania today. The weather's been a bit challenging at times, but we've seen some big beasts - literally in the case of the Carpathian Brown Bears, and figuratively in the case of superstar Danube Clouded Yellow.
