Productive meeting with the CSA discussing my bill to include a box on the NYC Public Schools registration form to indicate if a student is the child of a veteran or active military service member. This will help school personnel to offer specific aid & info to these students & parents.

As a former law enforcement officer with the NYPD, I know first hand the dangers and sacrifice our Men and Women in Blue make each and every day to protect us. Today is #NationalLawEncorcementDay, so please remember to thank a police officer!

We cannot call ourselves the most fair, progressive city if DOE consultants earn more pay than school leaders. We cannot ensure equity & excellence for all w/out a fair contract for school leaders. Fair pay for CSA NOW!

To all of the guidance counselors, social workers, and school psychologist who are being asked to provide mandated and at-risk services online, folks have no idea how much you are really being asked to do. I want you to know how much our children appreciate and need you.

Pay disparity is discrimination, plain & simple. The directors of early childhood programs in community-based orgs deserve equal pay to those in the DOE. They are equally essential for Universal Pre-K. Why pay these leaders any less? Thank you New York City Council for fighting with us!
