Our friend Joe does not have one plant in his house and has no idea what the bulb is that we gave him for Christmas.  But he is thrilled and had his 5 year old daughter help him plant this amaryllis. Who knows, maybe one bulb will start Joe on a lifelong journey into gardening 😊

I plucked some fuchsia flowers from the greenhouse and I suddenly got this sensation of summer.

This is a great time to shop seed racks at your local garden centre. We look forward to this every year.

The icicles on my garden shed remind me that I haven’t seen my garden tools for almost 3 months. I wonder if they miss me?

My tropical plants are enjoying these sunny days. I think this is the first time I've had a spider plant bloom! The lime is blooming again and the goldfish plant hasn't stopped since before Christmas. What are you growing?

Can't wait to start sowing seeds in the greenhouse. I did start some Colorado Blue Spruce and Cup Plant seeds in the fridge this week. They require a period of cold stratification to germinate. Next up: impatiens seeds in 2 weeks.

First seedlings of the year! I started impatiens early. I just couldn't wait any longer. :)
