I dunno, but maybe if you are going to participate in a YouTube debate against Mehdi Hasan that millions will watch, don't show up looking like whatever this guy is? Is the online far right that lost in its own sauce that they just don't realize how insane they come across to

I will never vote Labour again. Not in my lifetime. I will never forget the skeletal faces of starving children—cut off from food just beyond a sealed border. A border kept closed by choice. I will never forget the silence bought by political donations—or blind loyalty that bind

Starving kids. My dad almost starved to death as a child. He grew up in Nazi-occupied Holland. He and his two sisters had to eat tulip bulbs to stay alive. If I ever said I was hungry as a child, he would give me a look and say "you don't know what hungry is." Starving kids.

Not gonna feel sad about a dead wrestler who was a Trump-supporting union buster who regularly used explicitly racist language, no matter how cool he seemed when I was a child

Had a good time with THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS, which overcomes the hurdles of superhero fatigue by having a unique retro-futuristic 1960s setting and a visual style that really pops off the screen. Sometimes these stories work because they're simple, and innocent, and fun

Kicking off Monday with some unusual optimism, and soundtracking it with some kicking ass thanks to the new WET LEG album, which is just as good as their first. Punky, funny, just the right kind of weird - a good vibe and good mood to carry with me for the rest of the week

There's a sequel out, so I went back and watched HAPPY GILMORE, for the first time since it came out THIRTY YEARS AGO. I feel incredibly old and a little bit sad, but the film made me laugh, possibly more than than it originally did. There was a time when this was all we needed

This is a great article about Victoria Mapplebeck and her wonderful film MOTHERBOARD, which I saw in Copenhagen last year. It's a brilliant documentary which manages to portray both its subject and its viewers, a projected document of 20 years. Loved it x theguardian.com/film/2025/jul/…

It’s kinda weird that the people who were obsessed with polls between 2015 and 2019, and screeched non-stop for a change in leader whenever Labour were polling badly, have all remained completely silent about this

Absolutely loving DEXTER: RESURRECTION on Prime Video, which captures all the best elements of the previous shows with extraordinary new cast members and ideas. They've messed up the ending before though - twice - so fingers crossed they get it right this time...
