Sat down with education leaders in Pulaski County yesterday — it’s clear how much the Trump administration’s rampant cuts and intimidation of higher ed has interrupted their essential work. This is not business as usual. We cannot allow this admin to gut public education.

Today we pause to remember the lives we lost at Virginia Tech 18 years ago. No matter how many years pass, we will never stop honoring those we lost too soon in this terrible tragedy.

Headed to Salem to sit down with veterans. I’m pushing to make sure they can receive the health care they’ve earned.

Just threw out the first pitch at today’s Salem Red Sox game! It’s always awesome to get to see Virginia’s minor league teams play… yet another part of what makes our Commonwealth great!

Just visited with veterans in Salem to hear about their experiences with the local VA. DOGE is trying to come for veterans’ care, but I’m going to keep standing up and speaking up to improve the health care that we more than owe our vets.

Great to see innovative work being done at the Carilion Clinic’s Sim Center, but the biotech leaders I talked to are clear: this admin’s funding cuts WILL hurt lifesaving research on dementia, cancer, and more. Folks in every corner of Virginia are hurt by this admin’s chaos.

Heard from child care providers, veterans, and critical medical researchers across Virginia yesterday — and cheered on some of our awesome Virginia minor league teams. Back on the road today, more to come.

Ended my day yesterday in Roanoke meeting with child care providers at the West End Center for Youth. The lack of affordable child care is nothing short of a crisis, so it’s essential to me to hear from incredible providers who are on the ground supporting kids and families.

Reminder that DC is still facing a crushing budget shortfall if the House doesn’t act to fix a technical issue in the CR. The Senate passed it, President Trump endorsed it… what’s the hold up here? The House must act to prevent needless pain for DC.

Rolling back Medicaid would be disastrous. I’m going to keep fighting to protect our health care.

Good to hear from folks in Roanoke today. It doesn’t matter what part of the Commonwealth you live in — Virginians know uncertainty and chaos isn’t the path we should be taking.
