š“ Before the election Defra Secretary Steve Reed said: āwe have no intention of changing APRā. ā When we warned Labour would he claimed that was ādesperate nonsenseā. šØ Now the Chancellor has just confirmed Labour will cut Agricultural Property Relief for thousands of farms.

Getting ready to go live this morning at 10am. Join me & guests Dr. Jeevun Sandher MP Sir Mark Spencer as we discuss: - the Conservative leadership vote - Peter Saull is at a cafe with reaction to the budget - and the March against water pollution BBCpoliticseastmidlands BBC One

After an early start, for some, a hardy group of committed Nottinghamshire farmers waited in the snow for the bus to head to London to meet their MPs. The 1st bus was delayed, stuck in snow, but Acorn Travel worked hard to find an alternative & the farmers departed 2 hours late.

A huge thank you to Sir Mark Spencer for attending our Notts county meeting this evening as our distinguished guest speaker. Great turn out of members and the last county meeting chaired by Colin Bower šš¾

Today, my Shadow Ministers and I met farmers from the National Farmers' Union TFA and Country Land & Business Assn to discuss the future of farming ahead of tomorrowās NFU Conference. Their message was clear: the #FamilyFarmTax will harm farming as we know it, increase food prices and risk UK food

The Conservatives stand with the farming community. - We will axe the #FamilyFarmTax - Protect and enhance biosecurity - Build with farmers a bright future for British farming #NFU25

Getting out and about - speaking and engaging with our farming community is definitely one of the best parts of the job. Huge thanks to the Collingham family for kindly hosting me this morning alongside Sir Mark Spencer and their farming neighbours for a visit on their family farm

Labour had a chance to admit they got it wrong. Instead, Keir Starmer told Bridget Phillipson to gaslight the Commons with a shameless rewrite of history ā pretending Labour had always been on the side of women. Nobody bought it. They claimed the govt accepts the Supreme Court

'Red tape is starving British farms and threatening food security,' writes Sir Mark Spencer for LBC lbc.co.uk/opinion/views/ā¦
