I was making Valentine’s Day cards in Irish today with first years and one of them asked me if I had a valentine and I said no because I’m in love with Irish and then they called me a loser

So grateful to everyone who joined me last night for part 2 of this series in #traumainformedpractice. A lot of work goes into these but all that matters is what’s taken away, so having such an engaged & motivated audience means everything❤️ Looking forward to part 3 next week.

Absolutely insane that it is up for debate whether providing nourishment to disadvantaged primary age children is a good idea or not

Karren has turned off replies so I’ll reply here - there’s so much wrong with this tweet. a) striking teachers are trying to ensure there are enough teachers now and in the future to teach your children, whether you agree with them or not, that’s what they are trying to do b)

Pilot programme to transfer patronage of school to secular bodies has had very little uptake. Only 1 school converted in 2022. Miles off 400 by 2030 target. Seems logical to divest - but requires agreement of local school community. Most are pushing back against it?

1/7 Couple of thoughts in response to this.🧵 First, it's a terrible photo of the wildflower meadow. The trimmed verges aren't shown, the flowers have gone to seed and are bent from a month of rain and wind. A REALLY unflattering image. Here's what it actually looks like now...

Finished up with EY Ireland last week as part of the STEM Teacher Internship Programme programme. It was a great honour to make the sustainability challenge final and get to speak in the Mansion House about Ireland's #Biodiversity crisis. Our group came 2nd out of 20 fantastic projects

Best of luck to all the politicians getting their Electoral Commission results tomorrow. Remember, if you don't get the boundaries you want there's always another way to get to where you want. Well done on making it this far though, a great achievement.

87 years ago, Jewish and Irish communities came together to defeat Oswald Mosley and his fascists in the Battle of Cable Street. It is a story that my parents’ generation taught me: never give in to the far-right.
