1/ Are you struggling to keep track of all the #H5N1 developments in the US? Together w/ Brennan Klein & Moritz Kraemer, we started an open-access timeline of key events related to the outbreak. As you can see, the situation is rapidly progressing, so we will keep updating.

Great thread with a lot of background on H5N1. Gathering information is critical right now, as viruses like #H5N1 have the ongoing opportunity to surprise us.

I am extremely lucky to be a part of a team that prepares ahead and is always willing to dive in (and fast!) when a new problem presents itself. I'm very proud of this work and hopeful that we can continue to build on it to support #H5N1 situational awareness and response.

Great article and a pleasure to talk to Megan Molteni; lots to learn but we can start providing useful information now and continue to build on the value for nimble surveillance that networks like WastewaterSCAN provide.

Water is coming back in ATL, but not yet everywhere. Check in on your elderly neighbors or others who might have trouble accessing water, and once water is restored enjoy flushing your toilets again but pay attention to any ongoing boil water notices.

Really excellent thread parsing some of our recent wastewater data on H5. Thanks Sam Scarpino for keeping everyone informed in such a remarkably organized way!

Make sure you read the fine print!! Good to hear that water is flowing and the breaks are fixed, but pay attention to ongoing boil water advisories while all the appropriate procedures are completed to confirm water service and safety are restored. atlantaga.gov/government/dep…

Wow. We had a positive H5 test from one of our sites in Iowa on May 28. Similarly, our first positive sample from TX came from a week before the first reported illness in cattle. It's amazing how consistently we can get leading edge information from wastewater.

We are pleased to announce that the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management has lifted the boil water advisory for the entire City of Atlanta! Thank you again for your incredible patience and support during this challenging time.

Today I had the chance to join some smart folks to talk about emerging technologies to prevent health emergencies. It’s wonderful to see wastewater monitoring in this vision. Younger me wouldn’t have imagined that I would be at the White House to talk about sewage, of all things!

Opportunities to collaborate with people like Will Townes and Anna who bring another perspective to wastewater data collected through WWSCAN are such a pleasure. Great group and great paper, available as a preprint now!
