Congratulations to our graduating EP fellows Munish Kumar Kannabhiran and Aadhavi Sridharan! How time flies… once a Bruin, always a Bruin #epeeps

Discovery Alert!📣 Just 33 light-years from Earth, two rocky super-Earths orbit a bright, red dwarf star. Astronomers found them using our TESS spacecraft and they seem to be ideal targets for followup by NASA Webb Telescope! go.nasa.gov/3tEPKln

Thrilled to share that I'm now a postdoc @ Caltech! 🦫🪵 I'll be joining the Gradinaru Lab in their exciting research into Parkinson's. Thank you again to my PhD mentor Marmar Vaseghi MD PhD for all of her excellent support and guidance! Very proud to have been your first PhD student!

Pardon the pun, but I'm very excited to spill the tea on our new paper in Circulation Research! This work with Marmar Vaseghi MD PhD investigated the mechanisms of how thoracic epidural anesthesia (TEA) can protect against ventricular arrhythmias after myocardial infarction (MI). 1/

While TEA is generally considered a pre-ganglionic sympathetic blockade, in delineating the mechanisms of TEA, we highlight a novel pathway for spinal-afferent mediated parasympathetic inhibition. Read the full paper at doi.org/10.1161/CIRCRE…! Circulation Research #EPeeps #neurocardiology
