Blown away by this first edition of Oscar Wilde's poem 'The Sphinx' from our Benjamin Iveagh collection. A mere 200 copies were printed & the fabulous illustrations were done by Charles Ricketts

Some of the spacing in this very nice index is making my librarian brain itch! From the life of Apollonius of Tyana, printed 524 years ago by Benedetto Faelli whose mark you can see on the bottom right.

The ink at the end of this #manicule or pointing finger got away from this reader to produce a nail worthy of Flo-Jo! #ManiculeMonday #Readers

There's nothing worse than getting your spacing wrong! The title on the tail edge tells us this book about the Kingdom of Naples, printed in 1563, was previously stored lying down. It's been (standing up) on our shelves since 1707!
