Since our first day, as a newborn, we have been in the hands of others, moulded and shaped, for better or worse. Likewise, others are ever vulnerably in our hands; we are unavoidably tied to each other. Recognising this, we can ask - what to do with this entrusted responsibility?

King’s quote reminds us of our deep interconnectedness with others and the planet. Our freedoms are tied together, and in being tied together, our responsibility towards one another emerges. No one is free til we all are; “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”.

From next April the 45% top rate of tax (applies to those earning £150,000) will be scrapped. So the top rate will be the 40% higher rate threshold. This means mega earners, pay the same rate as those on £50,000. #MiniBudget
