Love that Domaine Billard Saint-Romain from nomad wine importers Cathal Derain! The sort of juicily delicious young red Burgundy that goes with heaps of dishes - cheese on toast included...

Bravo Liam & Sinead Cabot. Praise of this order in a typically considered piece by Andrew Jefford is something to be very proud of!

Fascinating contribution, Deirdre McQuillan

Mary Dowey Andrew Jefford Thank you Mary - and for your own positive feedback as well.

My first zentangle - from this morningâs introduction to Drawing Together, a 10-week âŠImperial College Londonâ© course taught by brilliantly encouraging artist Marina Walker. So relaxing... fell asleep on sofa afterwards

Oops, meant Imperial College London Marianne Walker. Blaming that on a bottle of Zenato Winery Ripassa!

Jack Yeatsâs canal bank walks... a terrible wartime event... Japanese journeys... a marathon after-dinner speech and a missing chicken! All coming up on Sunday Miscellany 9.10am RTĂ Radio 1 With Dermot Bolger OliverSearsGallery Mary Dowey Shaymus Kennedy @roslyndee123 Tune in!

"The sense of remoteness has gone, but Japan still feels very different in a way that can be difficult to pin down..." Mary Dowey is next RTĂ Radio 1 #LafcadioHearn #TadaoAndo #Naoshima Culture on RTĂ

Thanks Anna Dillon. Dreaming about a return trip! In the meantime, this exuberant #kusama piece is so cheering

Iâm the one to say ahhh, Gerard Maguire - this is such a touching tribute. Donât feel too sad. Iâm still an eager wine shopper & consumer!

Couldnât have worked for a better team than TheGlossMag. For 13 years (how did you put up with me for so long?!).

Thank you TheGlossMag. Yes, relaxing (ie succumbing to laziness) and probably drinking more wine for sheer pleasure (as distinct from noble duty) than is entirely wise. But of course I blame that on Covid!

Excellent article by Jennifer O'Connell The Irish Times on why re-opening of schools is now appropriate, and urgent. Government dragging its heels on this (as on so much else). Parents need a union, she argues...

Congrats to Tang on Dawson St for one of our tastiest lockdown dinners - and thanks to Corinna Hardgrave for the The Irish Times recommendation. Vibrant flavours & minimal fiddling about. Enhanced by TĂŒrk GrĂŒner Veltliner & Geil Pinot Noir from @Whelehanswines.

After a month or so, another round of littleforest pizzas this evening. Key message: ORDER THE DIPS. Slathered on the blistered, puffy crusts, they transform the whole experience. Terrific.

For anybody looking after a child of 6 or older on Sunday mornings, I strongly recommend RHA Gallery kids drawing online, fortnightly 12-1pm. Inspired by RHA artists and expertly led by RoisĂn & Michelle itâs fun - and free. Book a place few days in advance on gallery website.
