Following a 4 year ECEC degree, graduate starting salary is €13.65 - 15c more than min wage, compared to a €17.40/hourly rate in Lidl (€2.65 more than living wage). Why is ECEC the cinderella of the education continuum? emmet malone The Hard Shoulder TheJournal.ie

I am sad to hear of the passing of the inspirational and influential educational theorist, Carla Rinaldi today. She leaves such a rich legacy #listeningtochildren. R.I.P

Cheap childcare & quality in the same sentence Today with Claire Byrne Quality costs. Recruitment/retention is unsustainable. Yes €1.3bn invested, but question the starting point? Ireland invests less than the 1% international benchmark. We cannot have quality on a shoe string budget
