DOER staff visited Eversource’s Framingham Networked Geothermal Pilot Project. Networked geothermal is a network of ground-source heat pumps. It pulls the earth’s heat out of the ground to warm buildings in winter, and sends heat into the ground to cool buildings in summer.

We had a sun-sational time celebrating new solar canopies at Framingham State and Massachusetts State Police Framingham HQ. DOER awarded $753,000 in grants to support the projects, which will reduce ongoing energy costs by a combined $1.3 million. Both projects also included EV charging.🌞

Under the ’25-‘27 Energy Efficiency Plan, the Mass Save program will weatherize 163,000+ homes to help customers save up to 20% of annual heating use. The Energy Efficiency Advisory Council oversees the Plans and meets today. Learn more at the meeting or ma-eeac.org.
