Members of SLT, it's not difficult. If you treat your staff with respect (like some do to me) then your staff will go that extra mile. If you treat us like a cog in the machine (ditto) then don't be surprised at how we respond to you. Controversial?

I went for a smear test recently - and it hurt like hell. TMI perhaps? But I'm 51 - and this never happened before. The nurse said: “Oh, your cervix popped right out there. Did you know you have a prolapse?” No, I didn’t. And in a year when I’ve already been urgently

I am 58 years old and I still get caught out by the days starting later and finishing earlier. It's just miserable, and soon we will have the clocks going back.

Anna Fazackerley First it wasn't Ofsted's fault, so they didn't care. They were told it was their fault so they pretended to care. They were told to act so they pretended to act and pretended to care. Now they pretend they've acted and pretend they cared. Performative, empty reform.

I have never come across a teacher in real life who thinks that they know it all; or one that cannot add to the general improvement of all T+L with their thoughts. Why is Twitter full of nasty comments about teachers who hold different opinions? Teach respect, practice respect.

Not sure there’s enough of us seeing this to make it work this year but if you’d like to donate something for EduAdvent 2025 then please drop me a DM. If not, then please repost this. Thank you and 🤞

It's sometimes difficult to explain to non-teaches how my day was, it was excellent except when a student from another year group came into the classroom 3 times and disrupted the lesson. How to sum it up!

The players are struggling with ideas and confidence, which I feel is because of the inept manager. Time to go TC. Also, there were no positives to take from the game at all. #pafc

I despair at what has happened to edutwitter. I learnt a lot, and tried so many different ideas because of what I read on here. Now there is only a fraction of ideas shared, and often there are people relying with nasty comments. Can we return to the old ways? # edutwitter.
