Nice to get in the water and help @Scuba_Timmer with his seaweed surveys in the North Salish Sea before spending the rest of the summer doing ROV surveys of kelp. Despite the efficiency of the ROV for my purposes, it'll never beat out our synchronized roll for style points.

Behold the new northern limit of Sea Palm, #Postelsia! This #kelp was long assumed to peter out at Hope Island, BC… but now found 50km north at Cranston Point, almost (but not) to Calvert Island & Hakai Institute. Will ocean warming push it farther north? We are watching! 👀
