The important work of our French archaeological colleagues is at risk. Their expert-led, progressive national & regional approach to archaeology is threatened by funding cuts. Everyone, please stand in solidarity & sign this petition & please share!🏺 chng.it/jzFsMpXw8h

I'm hopefully going on a little voyage today with Manche Iles Express. It's to an island that has loomed large in my imagination. It's an island for which the Ice Age is largely unmapped. 🏝️ 🦣 🚢 #IceAgeIslands

My first menhir encounter in Sark. This stone was moved in the 16th century from its original position on Little Sark to become a gate post for the entrance to the Seigneurie. Now everyone visiting Sark pasess it, and patting it is considered good luck. #StandingStoneSunday

Islands are liminal places and all that but Little Sark takes it to another level. Imagine crossing this before the road and railings. #IslandArchaeology

Horrified to see Cimandis are to close on Jersey CI, we've powered fifteen seasons of excavation with this wholesaler. Really hoping there is a viable alternative.

Here's Dr Helen Dawson getting fieldwork underway this morning on the JICAS Hougue de Vinde excavation, Jersey. Bringing new understanding to an enigmatic and long neglected Neolithic? monument. #FieldworkFriday
