Andrew Clennell reported on Sky News Sunday Agenda that Alex Hawke contacted me following my comments on the ABC last Wednesday afternoon – that we had a conversation. Let me be absolutely clear: Alex Hawke did not call me, text me, or WhatsApp me at that point. What actually

Just had a lively chat with Belinda Varischetti for today's ABC Rural Countryhour, about the fear and alarmism the federal govt is dishing out ahead of escalating their next climate target. The only catastrophe is the ruin they are unleashing on our economy. Have a listen!

Rumour has it the government will announce the next emissions reduction target today. What you need to know: - Gov is contemplating 60-75% reductions by 2035 - We're at ~28% today, over 20 years since 2005 - None of that came from energy. (0.06%) - Was all land use.

Bear in mind that almost all of the emission reductions achieved has been via LULUCF (land use, land use change and forestry) ie we stopped clearing land and our timber industry. This was a one off, it can’t be done again. Outside of LULUCF there has been basically no change.
